How much does a survey cost?
Prices vary depending on property size and survey type. Management surveys typically start from around £250 + VAT. Contact us for an accurate fixed-price quote.
Do I need a survey before renovating?
In most jurisdictions, a refurbishment/demolition survey is a legal requirement before work that could disturb the fabric of a building constructed before the relevant asbestos ban date. Check local regulations for your property.
What’s the difference between a management and refurbishment survey?
A management survey is non-intrusive and covers materials that could be disturbed during normal occupation. A refurbishment survey is fully intrusive and investigates areas that would only be exposed during construction work.
How long does a survey take?
A typical management survey takes two to four hours on-site, depending on property size. More intrusive surveys can take longer. Reports are usually issued within a few working days.
What happens if asbestos is found?
Your report will include a risk rating and recommended next steps for each item found. Lower-risk materials can often be safely managed in place, while higher-risk materials may need encapsulation or removal by a licensed contractor.
Is your laboratory accredited?
Yes, all sample analysis is carried out by an independently accredited laboratory.
